Full Chicken with a Mushroom, White Wine and Onion Sauce | Poulet Marengo - France
Cooking With Benoit prepares a very typical french dish with a full chicken, white wine, and mushrooms based sauce : the "Poulet Marengo".
This style of sauce was invented by napoleon's cook dunand, on the battlefield of marengo in italy. It originately had crayfish as an ingredient, later replaced by mushrooms.
As a matter of fact, not fancy at all, but delicious and perfect for a family or a group of 4 to 6 guests. Serve it with pasta, potatoes or baked vegetables, such as these : https://youtu.be/InLmH9bfHUc
