What to expect and schedule Glenveagh National Park

Join us for our day trip to Glenveagh National Park, tour the castle, visit the gardens and lunch in the tea rooms or picnic along the lake.

We will visit the welcome centre before walking along the most scenic 4km flat path in Ireland to Glenveagh Castle. (For those not wanting to take the walk there is a shuttle bus to the castle for €3 each way.) You will have lunch at the castle or on the grounds (not included). After lunch you will take a guided tour of the castle and have time afterward to explore the gardens and to walk to the viewing point.

This is a great tour for families of all ages. 

Schedule:

9:00 Meet in from of the shop at Ardglass Cottages in Portsalon

9:00-10:00 Travel inland directly to Glenveagh National Park.

10am - 2pm Lunch and visit the area.

2:00 Meet back at the bus and travel back to Ardglass by way of Mount Errigal.

4:00 pm Arrive back at Ardglass Cottages
