Arrival instructions for

Portsalon

Location: Portsalon is situated on the scenic Lough Swilly at the head of the Wild Atlantic Way. It is world-renowned for its stunning beauty and exquisite beaches. Portsalon is located about a 3.5-hour drive from Dublin International Airport, 1-hour drive from Derry Airport or 2.5-hour drive from Belfast International Airport. Portsalon is well sign posted from Letterkenny through Ramelton, Milford and Kerrykeel.  

Between June and August (high season) check in time is 5pm. This is later than normal but due to additional cleaning protocols we must ask that you not arrive before 5pm. We will arrange key pick up by phone or text on the day of your arrival. If you arrive earlier than 5pm you will be able to use the play center however you will NOT be able to access the cottages. Please plan accordingly. Late arrival is no problem, I am available until 11 pm.   Outside of high season check in time is 2 pm.

Whats’s Included: All bedding and towels are provided.  We also provide hand soaps, laundry powder & dish washer tablets, dish liquid and some cleaning products, however we do not supply shampoo/conditioner or shower gel. For your convenience each cottage is equipped with a highchair, cot and stair gate. The indoor play area is open for the use of our guest from 10:30 am until 8:00 pm.   

NEW in 2022! A word about WIFI: Because of our remote location we cannot provide broadband internet access in the cottages. Most of our guests view this as a feature keeping the kids off their screens during the holiday!  However we do have 4G routers with a sim that will provide good service this is available for rent upon request for 25 euros per week or 10 euros per day.

NEW in 2022! The BlueBerry Café will be open for family style catering only. We are excited to offer this service for all the Ardglass, Crossroads and TravelJadore cottages in Fanad Peninsula. There will be no sit down service in the restaurant we bring it right to your door. Everything on our menu is made fresh daily. Check out the menu below.

DRIVING DRIECTIONS: The EIR CODE for your key pick up is F92 V1KP The directions below start from Letterkenny. You can also use Please use Google maps (or your GPS) for directions.

From Letterkenny take the R245 to Ramelton. Cross over the bridge in Ramelton and follow the signs for Milford. On entering Milford take the right turn immediately after the Lidl Store, signposted for Kerrykeel / the R246. On entering Kerrykeel turn left at the crossroads and continue straight on the R245 for approximately 8km. Gala Shop is on the NW corner of the Crossroads, Portsalon
